Digital Workflow in Lightroom and Photoshop

Following on from a recent digital evening Jackie McKeever has gone to great trouble to produce a video which sets out her "Workflow" using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. The video cover all aspects of image processing from downloading the images through key-wording, sorting by star rating, cropping straightening, modifying white balance and exposure. In fact a complete beginners guide.

Ah I hear you say, "I don't have lightroom of the latest version of Photoshop". Fear not the principles that Jackie demonstrates in her video can be applied to virtually all RAW converters and image processors. One of the major problems with image processing is not doing it but is learning the associated jargon that allows you to ask the right questions!!! terms such as fill light, highlight recovery, vibrance and much more are touched on in Jackie's video

Many manufacturers supply their own free raw converters. For example Nikon supply "View NX" and Pentax supply "Pentax photo laboratory" other third party conveters also available are Silkypix and Nikon Capture NX2 which are advanced converters that still allow the use of colour coding and Star rating to sort your images

Photoshop elements is a cheap and effective image processing suite, although not as advanced as Photoshop 5 it will still allow the keen amateur to get the best out of their images.

So many thanks to Jackie for her valiant efforts, watch the video and If you have any questions about particular steps I'm sure that Jackie or other advanced members will be only too happy to help solve your problems.
